Erin Waddell

Erin has a wealth of experience in leading large scale project teams and in teaching others how to lead change effectively. Erin has over 20 years of successful implementation experience for business & technology projects and programs.

She has worked in a variety of industries including oil & gas, pipeline, education, forestry, utilities, health care, investment management, telecommunications, & financial software development.

Her roles have been just as diversified including Manager of Change Management, Business Coach, Program Manager, Project Manager, Training Lead, and Management Consultant. Key areas of expertise include a strategic review for a major business division that resulted in the development of 50 recommendations to enable a five-year growth plan as well as the implementation of organizational wide change initiatives.

Erin’s experience includes the use of large group work methods to harness group intelligence and energy; resulting in alignment to common goals, design and facilitation of workshops to encourage enterprise approach to process design, and to prepare teams for transformational changes including team development, creative thinking, resistance management, sponsorship effectiveness, and change leadership tools. She also rolled out a change management methodology for project manager’s including tools for surveys, stakeholder analysis and assessments, sponsor roadmaps, tailored change strategies by functional area, interactive communication events, resulting in improved relations and outcomes. Erin is also a business coach and mentor for project managers and leaders at a variety of levels.

Erin has recently completed an action research project to uncover the conditions to foster creativity on teams implementing change. She is in the process of developing workshops to share the benefits of this research.

Erin is passionate about helping others achieve their performance goals. She is also a strong advocate for designing change which is consultative and respectful for the recipients. Her change philosophy is to ‘do it WITH them not TO them’.
